Main Reasons Tourists Do Not Receive a VAT Refund
- Goods worth less than 2,000 baht (VAT included) bought from the same store on the same day.
- The P.P.10 form was not completed on the day of purchase.
- The original tax invoice was not attached to the P.P.10 form.
- The name and passport number on the tax invoice do not match the person claiming the refund.
- The goods were not taken out of Thailand within 60 days of purchase.
- The departure from Thailand was not made through an international airport.
- The P.P.10 form and goods were not presented to Customs for inspection and stamping.
- For luxury goods, the items were not re-inspected by a Revenue Department officer after passing Immigration.
- The goods were not purchased from a store in the VAT Refund for Tourists (VRT) system.
- The claimant is a crew member departing Thailand while on duty.
