Importing Musical Instruments

1. Temporary Import of Musical Instruments for Exhibitions

For the import and export of necessary equipment for professional entertainers, theater troupes, and orchestras, as well as all items used in public and non-public performances, you can use the A.T.A. CARNET guarantee document, which is an international customs document for import and export. You must first check the product license before proceeding with this step.

2.1 Requesting an A.T.A. CARNET Guarantee Document

You can contact the A.T.A. Carnet and Product Standards Department, Board of Trade of Thailand, to arrange an A.T.A. CARNET guarantee document.

Steps

Register company information via website https://mr.thaichamber.org/

  • Company registration certificate, signed and stamped by authorized signatories
  • Personal documents of authorized signatories: copy of ID card and house registration (For foreigners, use copy of Passport and Work Permit)
  • Invoice with product details and value in THB
  • Color pictures of the products

Form printing details

Bring documents from item 2 and 3 to submit at the Board of Trade of Thailand to issue documents and let officers verify the correctness of documents and product details.

2.2 Document Issuance Period

  • Normal case: 3 working days
  • Urgent case: 1 working day from the date of submitting complete and correct documents
